Chat Rooms are where you can go to talk with many people at once,
and a great place to meet other members. You can hang out in the Lounge and see who
comes in, check other rooms that might be of interest, or you can even create new
rooms for others to join. LoveAccess.com Chat is an easy way to meet new people. You can
open each chat room in its own window by clicking and dragging the room's tab. You
can return the rooms back to the Chat Console by clicking the X in the corner.

The Chat Console
|

|
The Chat Console is where you'll be able to chat with other members.
Once the console loads, you can begin talking with other people immediately, or you
can change any of the options below.

Chat Options
|
|
|
|
|
|
Play Sounds - This option lets you turn the chat room sounds on or off.
Sound on Join - This option will play a sound whenever somebody enters a room that you are in.
Sound on Notice - This option will play a sound when somebody whispers to you.
Sound on Msg - This option will play a sound when somebody sends you a P2P message.
Show Joins - This option toggles the message in chat when somebody joins or leaves the room.
Do Not Disturb - This option flags you as being away, so other members know not to bother you.
Buddy Approvals - This option toggles whether or not other members can add you to their buddylist without your approval.
P2P Buddy Only - This option will allow only those on your buddy list to P2P you.
Block Memos - This option will block others from sending you email. (Recommended: OFF)
Memo Buddy Only - This option will only allow those on your buddy list to email you. (Recommended: OFF)
Nickname: - Your User Name.
Room: - The currently active room.
Your Profile - Displays your current profile.
View a Profile - View another member's profile.
Controls - Opens the room options.
Quit - Quits out of Chat.
Float - Floats the chat console in a new window.
Close - Closes the options window.

Room Options

Topic - Sets the topic for the room.
Secret - If the room is set secret, it will not be displayed in the
list of Rooms unless the person viewing the list is an Administrator or a member who
has been given access.
Moderators May Not Change Settings - This option will allow only the
room operator to make changes.
P2P Chat Only with Moderators - Prevents members from conducting
Person-to-Person chat with each other, allowing them to only P2P chat with moderators.
Members Only - Only people listed in the members list (in the
configuration) may enter the room.
Strict Moderation (Must Have Voice to Speak) - Only Room Moderators
and people who have been given Strict Moderation Voice by a Room Moderator can speak
in the room.
Topic Changeable Only by Room Moderator - With this option set, only
another Room Moderator can change the room's topic. Without being set, anyone who is
in the room can change the topic.
Block External Msgs - With this option set, only people who are in
the room can speak in it. Without it, anyone on the entire server can talk to the room.
Invite Only - When a person attempts to join an Invite-Only room, the
Moderator will be informed and can grant access.
Password to Enter - Only persons given a password to a room will be
allowed access.
Max Occupancy - Enter the number of maximum members to be allowed in a
room at one time into this field. When the number of members has reached maximum
occupancy, the room cannot be entered until someone leaves or the number in the Max
Occupancy field is increased.
Room Bans - members that have been banned from the room.
Quiets - members that have been denied permission to speak in the room.

Member Profile - This button will allow you to view a member's profile.
|
|
P2P - This button will allow you to open a P2P chat with another member.
|
|
Ignore - This button will allow you to ignore or unignore another member,
or to view and edit your ignore list.
|
|
Sounds - This button will play a sound in the chat room.
|
|
Emotions - This button will add an emotion to your message.
|
|
Actions - This button will allow you to perform actions in the chatroom.
|
|
Text Color - This button will change your text color in the chat room.
|
|
Send - This button sends your message to the chat room.
|
|
Help - This button brings you to this help page.
|
|
Exit - This button will exit you out of chat.
|

The Rooms Tab
|
|
|
|
Click the Rooms tab to display the list of available rooms. Double click any room
that is displayed, and you will enter that room, while remaining in room you
entered into initially. The Chat Console allows you to be in several rooms at one
time. Multiple room tabs will appear at the top of the chat screen, and when
members respond, the tabs of the room will light up. This will allow you to keep
track the conversations in each room.

Create - By typing in a room name in the text bar and clicking
this button, you will create a new room, or join a room if it has this name.

Room Moderator Functions
|
|
|
These buttons will only show up if you are a moderator or operator of a room.
|
|
Remove - This button will remove a member from the room.
|
|
Ban - This button will ban a member from the room.
|
|
Give/Take Moderator Status - This button will give or take moderator status to/from a user.
|
|
Voice - This button will let a member speak in a strictly moderated room.
|
|
Quiet - This button gives/takes quiet status of a member. When a member is quiet, they are not allowed to speak in the room.
|
|
Tour - This button will send a member to another website or room.
